About The Samphire Bistro
Samphire Bistro is dedicated to drawing out the best food that the Yorkshire Dales and Vale of York have to offer and serving it up as a unique, memorable dining experience.
Located on the vibrant North Street of the historic Cathedral City of Ripon, the Samphire atmosphere evolves throughout the day from a relaxed and social setting into a more lively and adventurous evening menu and ambiance.
Our Head chef is also the owner with extensive experience and a passion for creating good food. The restaurant is open daily for dinner, with an Early Bird offer Tuesday to Saturday.
In line with the natural beauty of the surrounding Yorkshire countryside, we source our ingredients locally to create a fresh and tasty menu that offers something for everyone. With daily specials and occasional live music and events, our newly refurbished Ripon restaurant is the perfect spot for a glass of wine with friends as well as a romantic meal for two.

"The Samphire Bistro in Ripon is a hidden gem. It is a small and well furnished bistro just a few seconds walk from the market square.
I had enquired in advance about GF options and was delighted when Rob replied to say they would be able to cater for this diet.
Upon our arrival we were greeted with a warm and friendly attitude and Rob explained the menu and offers they had, I.e early bird.
The menu would cater for all tastes. Food was fresh and delicious and also good value for money.
They even prepared a special bannoffee pie GF for me which was delicious.
We cannot wait to come back in the future.
If you live in Ripon or surrounding area, this bistro is most definitely worth a visit. But do book in advance as it is small and cosy.

"“A Night out with the Ladies”"
"As a newly elected chairman I organised my first dinner meeting of the year at Samphire for 20 ladies. What a superb evening we have had. They opened especially for us,we had a varied menu to choose from the food and service was excellent and very reasonably priced.
The staff were friendly and welcoming; the food beautifully presented and perfectly cooked, not easy when all 20 meals come out together.
Well done Samphire we will be back!!
